there are places inside you that have never been truly witnessed.

Places you have circled, perhaps touched gingerly, but never fully entered. Not because you weren't ready, but because you hadn't yet found someone who could truly meet you there.

Here, every part of you is welcome. Here, being fully seen is not something to brace for, but something to softly rest into. You have always known there was more. Together, we go there.

About lora

I am Lora Sasiela, a depth-oriented psychotherapist and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy practitioner. My work sits at the intersection of rigorous clinical training and psycho-spiritual depth, where evidence-based psychotherapy meets the transformative power of expanded states of consciousness.

I work with accomplished, psychologically sophisticated adults who have done the work and know there is more. People who sense something deeper calling and are ready to move beyond insight into genuine structural change.

My approach is informed by psychodynamic tradition, attachment theory, relational dynamics, somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, and Internal Family Systems. But the container I hold is larger than any single modality. I attune to the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and I bring a sense of ritual and sacredness to the healing process.

My post-graduate training includes certifications from Fluence, the Women's Therapy Centre Institute, National Institute for the Psychotherapies, PostGraduate Center for Mental Health, New Hope Guild Center, Minuchin Center and a fellowship at NYU's Psychoanalytic Institute. I have also served as a clinical supervisor for NYU's School of Social Work and the Women's Therapy Centre Institute.

I have presented on psychedelic medicine at conferences and summits, and my work has been featured in Marie Claire, Glamour, Redbook, and other publications.

I am licensed in New York and offer secure telehealth sessions to clients who are located in New York.

True transformation is alchemical

It requires all of the elements: the fire of insight, the water of feeling, the earth of the body, the wind of spirit. Nothing left out. Nothing bypassed. Areas of focus include:

  • Ketamine is a legal psychedelic medicine and one of the most powerful doorways into the kind of deep alchemical change that talk therapy alone cannot always reach.

  • You've glimpsed what's possible in expanded states of consciousness. This is the work of making it real, and making it last.

  • The wounds that formed first tend to run deepest. Here, you grieve what was never there, and free yourself to receive what is.

  • Your relationship to wealth, ambition, and what you believe you deserve didn't form in a vacuum. Here, we trace it to its roots, so you can move forward and stand fully in what is yours.

  • Item description
  • An affirming, deeply informed presence for the full dimensionality of how you love and desire, met with depth, care, and genuine curiosity.

ketamine-assisted psychotherapy

There is a particular kind of healing that lives beyond the reach of words.

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy creates a brief but profound opening, a temporary shift in consciousness that allows you to dive beneath the surface of ordinary awareness and return with something you couldn't access before. Insights. Emotional freedom. A new relationship with patterns that have defined you for decades.

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is central to my practice. I see it as one of the most potent catalysts currently available for the kind of deep alchemical transformation my clients are ready for. Not as a shortcut, but as a doorway into terrain that talk therapy alone may not reach.

My role in this work is as your therapist and guide, not your prescriber. As a licensed clinical social worker, I do not prescribe or dispense ketamine. All medical aspects of your care, including psychiatric evaluation, prescribing, and ongoing monitoring, are managed by a licensed medical provider who specializes in psychedelic-assisted treatments.

is this work for you?

You are a seeker. You have always been a seeker.

You are living a full and beautiful life. And you know, in the way that seekers always know, that there is more. Not because something is missing, but because there is always more to discover, always deeper to go. This is who you are.

You are devoted to your own expansion. You invest in it:  your time, your resources, your willingness to go wherever growth asks you to go. This calling has never felt optional. It is simply the only way you know how to be.

And you know this work is not just for you. The deeper you go within yourself, the more fully you show up: for the people you love, the work that matters, and the broader impact your soul knows it's here for.

Perhaps there is a subtle discontent living alongside the fullness of your life. A longing for love that goes even deeper. A hunger for greater intimacy: with yourself, with others, with something larger than yourself. A desire to feel more connected to your purpose, more anchored in spirit, more alive to the full richness of your own inner world.

You want to move through life with more ease and less self-judgment. More compassion, for yourself and others. More clarity, more courage, more creative aliveness. You want to embody the fullest, most luminous version of who you are.

You have glimpsed that version of yourself. You know it's there. And you are ready to live from that place—not just visit it. If this is speaking to you, you are in the right place.

Think of it as pearl diving.

You descend into waters that are dreamy, luminous, and rich with possibility. The dive is short but potent. And what you bring back up can change everything.

You are never alone in the descent. I am at the surface, holding the rope, feeling every shift, attuning to your depth, present for every moment of the journey. I know these waters. I have guided others here before. And I will be there when you surface, ready to help you string the pearls together, to see how each one, rare and precious, connects to create something even more radiant and whole.

The medicine itself is not the transformation. It is the doorway. What we do together—before, during, and after each session—is where the alchemy happens.

Your strand of pearls is waiting to be discovered, one profound dive at a time. I know these waters. And I would be honored to take you there.

KETAMINE-ASSISTED
THERAPY FAQS

  • Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is the intentional weaving of ketamine medicine sessions into an ongoing psychotherapeutic relationship. It is not a standalone treatment or a quick fix. It is a sacred container in which the medicine and the therapy work together to create conditions for genuine, lasting transformation.

Ketamine is a legal, FDA-approved medicine with decades of safe clinical use. In therapeutic doses, it creates a temporary and gentle shift in consciousness, a dreamlike, weightless state in which the usual walls of the mind soften. Patterns that feel fixed become workable. Emotions that have been held at a distance become safely and tenderly accessible. New neural pathways begin to form.

KAP may be particularly resonant if you are psychologically grounded and growth-oriented, have done meaningful therapeutic work and feel ready to go deeper, or are curious about the healing potential of expanded states of consciousness as part of an intentional inner journey.

The medicine opens the door. The therapy - the preparation, the presence during the experience, and the integration that follows - is where the transformation takes hold.

  • I am a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist. I do not prescribe or dispense ketamine. My role is to provide the therapeutic container: the preparation, the presence during your medicine experience, and the integration that follows.

All medical aspects of your care, including psychiatric evaluation, ketamine prescribing, and ongoing monitoring, are managed by Journey Clinical, a specialized medical practice focused on psychedelic-assisted treatments. Their clinicians handle everything on the medical side. My work and theirs are complementary and coordinated, so your care is held within both a rigorous clinical framework and a deep therapeutic relationship.

  • Every ketamine experience is unique, and part of its beauty is that it cannot be fully predicted. What most people share is a sense of gentle descent into a dreamlike, luminous state. The everyday mind grows quiet. The usual sense of self loosens its grip, not frighteningly, but with a quality of spaciousness and relief.

You may notice vivid imagery, a heightened awareness of emotion, or a feeling of floating, weightless and held at the same time. Time may feel elastic. Music may feel deeply meaningful. Insights may arise naturally, like pearls surfacing from the deep.

Some people have profoundly spiritual experiences. Others encounter emotional material that has long been inaccessible. Many describe it as the most honest conversation they have ever had with themselves.

The experience typically lasts under an hour. You will not be alone. I will be present throughout, attuned, steady, and ready to receive whatever arises when you return to the surface.

  • Yes. Ketamine has a well-established safety profile and has been used in medical settings for decades. It is FDA-approved, non-addictive at therapeutic doses, and short-acting, making it one of the most accessible and well-tolerated medicines available for this kind of work.

I partner with Journey Clinical, a specialized medical practice focused on psychedelic-assisted treatments, to oversee all psychiatric evaluation, prescribing, and medical monitoring. This ensures that every aspect of your care is held within a rigorous, responsible clinical framework.

Within the medicine experience itself, you remain aware and present, simply less tethered to the habitual stories and defenses that ordinarily shape your inner landscape. It is less about intensity and more about openness. Less about confrontation and more about gentle revelation.

The emphasis of this work is never the experience alone. It is how thoughtfully it is prepared for, how skillfully it is held, and how intentionally it is integrated afterward. Safety, in this container, is not just medical. It is relational, spiritual, and deeply human.

  • If you have worked with plant medicines or other psychedelics, you already know something about the territory. You understand, in your body, what it means to dissolve ordinary awareness and return with something new. You arrive here already knowing something about the terrain, and that wisdom is welcome.

What ketamine offers is something distinct. Think of it as small but mighty. Where other medicines may take you on a long and sometimes demanding journey - hours of intensity, emotional weight, physical depletion - ketamine is brief, contained, and gentle by comparison. The dive is short. The waters are luminous. And what you bring back is no less precious for the brevity of the descent.

Ketamine works through a different neurological pathway than classic psychedelics like psilocybin or MDMA, targeting glutamate receptors rather than serotonin, which is part of why the experience feels distinct. There is often less visual intensity, more of a soft dissolution:  a quiet opening rather than a dramatic unfolding.

And perhaps most importantly, this is not a solo journey or a ceremonial container. It is psychotherapy. Every experience is held within an ongoing therapeutic relationship, prepared for with intention and integrated with care. The medicine and the therapy are inseparable. That is what makes this work different.

  • Preparation and integration are not afterthoughts. They are the heartbeat of this work.

    Preparation

Before we ever enter the medicine space together, we prepare, with care, with intention, body, mind, and spirit.

In addition to our comprehensive preparation sessions, you will receive the Inner Alchemy Psychotherapy preparation guidebook, a bespoke resource designed to orient you to the experience and support you in arriving fully ready. Together we will clarify your intentions, address any fears or concerns that arise, and establish how to navigate whatever the medicine space brings. Nothing is left unattended. You will not step into the water without knowing how to dive.

    Integration

Integration is where the pearls become yours. In the sessions that follow each medicine experience, we return together to what surfaced: the insights, the images, the emotions, the openings. We examine each one with curiosity and care, finding its place in the larger strand of your healing. This is where the luminous becomes lived. Where what you glimpsed in the medicine space begins to reorganize the way you move through your daily life.

Integration is not a debrief. It is the continuation of the dive, above the surface now, in the full light of day, stringing each pearl into the necklace of your becoming.

  • Remote does not mean alone. All medical aspects of your care - psychiatric evaluation, prescribing, and ongoing monitoring - are managed through Journey Clinical, which oversees all psychiatric evaluation, prescribing, and ongoing monitoring.

During the medicine session itself, I am with you via secure, HIPAA-compliant video throughout. A designated support person (someone you trust and feel safe with) will be on site with you. Protocols for safety and communication are reviewed in advance, and you will receive detailed guidance on preparing your space to create a container that feels safe, sacred, and comfortable. The structure is intentional. The oversight is rigorous. And the experience, though remote, is fully held.

  • Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is offered within the context of an ongoing therapeutic relationship. Fees vary based on the structure of your care and are discussed transparently during our initial consultation, before any KAP sessions are scheduled.

Treatment is never one-size-fits-all. Some clients engage in a focused series of medicine sessions woven into a defined arc of therapy. Others incorporate ketamine more periodically as part of longer-term depth work, when the timing feels right and the unfolding calls for it.

The structure is always individualized, always collaborative, and always in service of your unfolding.

PRACTICE faqs

  • The first session is an arrival, for both of us. We will spend time getting to know one another: what is present for you, your inner landscape, what has brought you here and what you are hoping to discover. I will listen deeply, not just to what you say but to what lives underneath it.

This is not an intake form brought to life. It is the beginning of a real relationship. The first session often carries its own quiet magic. Something settles when you finally arrive in the right space.

We will also begin to orient to the path ahead: discussing the shape of our sessions, exploring whether and how ketamine-assisted psychotherapy might be woven in, and establishing the container that will hold everything that follows.

  • Most clients meet weekly. Consistency is the foundation of depth-oriented work. It creates momentum, deepens the therapeutic relationship, and allows us to move beyond the surface into the deeper structures that shape your life.

Think of it as tending a garden. Sporadic attention produces sporadic results. Regular, devoted presence is what allows genuine transformation to take root and grow.

Frequency may shift naturally over time as the work evolves. But weekly sessions are the primary container of this practice, the steady rhythm that makes everything else possible.

  • Sacred space is not defined by four walls. It is defined by intention, presence, and the quality of what is held within it.

Sessions are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant video, from the privacy and comfort of wherever you feel most at home. A confidential link is sent before each appointment. All you need is a reliable internet connection and a private space where you can arrive fully and speak freely.

Many clients find that working from their own environment deepens the sense of safety. Something about being in a familiar space allows the work to land more naturally into the rhythms of daily life.

Please note that you must be physically located in New York State at the time of each session.

  • The length of our work together is always collaborative, shaped by your goals, your pace, and the depth of what we are exploring.

Most clients who find their way here are not in acute distress. They are seekers, interested in genuine structural change, in reorganizing patterns that have been present for decades, in living from that radiant center rather than merely visiting it. That kind of transformation is rarely rushed.

Some clients engage for a defined period around a specific intention. Others choose longer-term work as a devoted space for continued evolution, particularly when exploring attachment patterns, relational dynamics, or weaving ketamine-assisted sessions into the ongoing therapeutic container.

We revisit the frame periodically, together. The goal is never indefinite treatment. It is greater freedom, deeper self-trust, and a life that feels fully inhabited.

The horizon of this work is wholeness — and you will feel it when you arrive.

  • This work is not designed for individuals in acute psychiatric crisis or who require immediate stabilization. If you are currently experiencing severe symptoms that are significantly impacting your daily functioning, a higher level of care may be more appropriate.

This practice is also not the right fit for those who are not yet ready to go inward with real honesty and curiosity. The work here asks something of you: a willingness to be seen, to sit with what arises, and to trust the process even when it feels challenging.

If you are seeking quick fixes or symptom management alone, this is not your place. If you are not yet open to the possibility that expanded states of consciousness can be a catalyst for healing, this may not be the right time.

This work is for those who are ready. Who have already done enough to know there is more. Who are willing to explore the depths.

  • Individual psychotherapy: $325 per 45-minute session

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is offered within the context of an ongoing therapeutic relationship. Fees vary based on the structure of your care and are discussed transparently.

  • This is an out-of-network practice. I do not participate in insurance panels, which is an intentional choice.

Working outside of insurance allows us to focus on depth rather than diagnosis. It means the course of our work together is shaped by your needs, your pace, and your evolution, not by external mandates or arbitrary session limits.

Many clients who seek out this kind of work do so precisely for this reason. The privacy, the autonomy, and the freedom to go wherever the work leads are part of what makes this container so distinct.

If you have out-of-network benefits, I am able  to provide a monthly Superbill for you to submit directly to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. I encourage you to contact them in advance to understand your specific coverage.

Good Faith Estimate — Notice to Clients

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your care under the No Surprises Act. As a self-pay or out-of-network client, you are entitled to receive a written estimate of anticipated session costs before beginning treatment. If your actual charges exceed the Good Faith Estimate by $400 or more, you have the right to dispute the bill. A Good Faith Estimate will be provided prior to your first appointment and updated as needed. For questions, visit cms.gov/nosurprises.

  • Every journey begins with a single step and this one is simple. Begin by completing the contact form. (link to it) Once I receive your inquiry, I will send a brief form to learn more about what you are seeking and to get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit.

If there is alignment, we will schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation, which is an opportunity to connect, ask questions, and feel into the possibility of this work together.

Should we decide to move forward, you will receive a secure link to my HIPAA-compliant client portal to confirm your first appointment and complete a brief intake process before we begin.

The door is open. I look forward to hearing from you.
